I bought my wife an HJC modular but now my son wears it. He likes it.

Good to know. I really like the idea of them.

Those look pretty good...blue tooth ready too it says.
The price isn't too bad either. The sun visor would eliminate the need to keep up with sunglasses.

A helmet purchase imo should be made with the greatest safety features in mind.

I like the way I look...I like my jaw...I like my teeth...I like my cheek bones...and most importantly, I like my brain as it functions now.

Shark RSR2 Corser...will protect ALL of the above. ;)

That is why I am leaning to the full face. I like my half face but want that added protection for the rest of my face (jaw). The modular got my interest because I wouldn't have to take the whole thing off just for a smoke/drink break. Thanks for the links. :)

After looking at all those my neck hurts! I am so glad that i live in a State where people still have some freedoms and don't have to wear a Helmet..It should be a matter of choice and i choose NOT to wear one!! Ok.. now everyone can trash me..but before you do remember i have heard it all before and still choose not to wear one!

It's up to you. I know a lot of people who choose not to. It's not of any concern to me whether they do or not. I will not ride without one. Law or no law. My cousin suffered extensive brain damage from an accident because she had no protection. That is enough reason for me to always have one on.

I agree it is your choice.

But...if you don't wear it for yourself...wear it for your children, spouse, mother and father. Someone may depend on you and might actually miss you!

Yep. Same as a safety harness in a treestand. :)

I don't think the state should be able to make you wear a helmet or a saftey harness but you would be stupid not to. jmho.

I can agree with that also.

Common sense should dictate otherwise. :)

My urge to get a full helmet came from my brother's urging. His friend would have had life threatening injuries if he had not been wearing one. The entire chin part was broken off of his helmet from the impact. I keep thinking about how fortunate he was to have God's protection and a helmet to take most of the force. His jaw was broken but without the helmet, it would have been horrid.

i feel the same about seatbelts. that's another of those "it's for your own good" laws that i disagree with. it is my life. it should be my choice. after saying that, i do and would wear a helmet.

It honestly works both ways.. She was hurt because she had no helmet on..On the other hand about 10 years ago a very good friend of mine had his full face helmet on..he had a groundhog run out in front of him and hit it..When he hit it he lost control and laid the bike down and the guy riding right behind him rolled right up him and hit the helmet snapping his neck!!
I will bet that i am a whole lot safer a rider then a lot of guys and gals who wear helmets because i have reason to be..It makes no difference because when the Man Upstairs pulls your number it's over.. and wearing a helmet or not isn't going to stop it!! I have said for years the only difference between wearing one and not is being a Vegetable or being dead...
