Does anyone hunt rocks here?

I know I haven't found any yet but dang yall can't let this place die.
Besides this is the only place to hang out now.

I will start looking again as soon as turkey season is over.
Nothing makes you feel as good as screwing up someone's turkey hunt as you amble down a creek.

I have scouted a couple of fields that might produce something. I hope to get out real soon and check them.

I just don't have the time I used to have to look for the good fields and then catch them at just the right time.

For me the urge to get out there comes and goes. I have to be in the mood for it then it'll hit me and I'll be into it again for a few weeks then it goes away again.

I'm so covered with work right now, I will have to play it by ear this year unless someone on here has some good close producing fields to me

I've actually went a couple times. My buddy found the good stuff and I found the ugly stuff. Going again this weekend after the the rain if it rains alot. Will try to get a pic up if I do any good.

this weather has screwed up the rock rut. i havent seen any male rocks chasing any female rocks this year. maybe it will pick up and they'll start rutting before season is over with.

LOL @ rock rut..........I guess as long as the male rock is hard everything is good.

I thought I was the only crazy one walking the woods & creeks with my eyes to the ground looking for rocks. came easy for me after tracking for so long. so far I've found a few geodes and some fossels. rock hound o yea :grin:
