I knew it when I saw the post. Have fun!! I bought one of Benton's SPS tacticals in .223 a couple of weeks ago and am working on accurizing it. A trip to the range later this week is in order. I've got a Timney ordered for mine and it should be in about the next day or two. It's shooting under a couple of inches at 200 yards just with cheap factory ammo and I've got some handloads ready with 60, 68, and 69 grain bullets. These should be about right since mine's a 9 twist. What twist rate do you have? I don't need one of those. There's just too many goodies available to spend your money on after you get one and I wouldn't be able to resist.

Time to accessorize... that's the fun part. Get you a Knight rail system and start putting all the toys on it. C'mon, you NEED a tactical light and laser!

Im gonna get a light and bipod, scope rail, and maybe a different compensator.

Went to CATCHDAWG's today and let him have the first shot though it since that was the first time he had ever held a black rifle. He wont admit it but he wants one now

Those dudes sure are loud though.

444marlin,
I know how you feel brother! Yours has a CAR length gas system ;) Instead of buying alot of accessories you may want to buy alot of ammo or reloading components as AR's are very hungry and eat often :D

paincave_2000,
Good point! I add if you can't afford another built AR right now at least get a lower.

FYI:

VOW in Cleveland has Doublestar cast lowers for $120 out the door, good little lower. I have built a few of these and they seem to be pretty well made. You can build an AR-15 for around $600.00 if you are willing and able to assemble the lower. Order the upper kit from JT DISTRIBUTING and you will have a complete gun for a good price. I bet the same thing will be $800-$1000 if the Dems get in, to tell you the truth JM is not much better on the "GUN" issue.
