Got in the stand a little before daylight and around 7:30 heard a couple of grunts and some chasing going on. Little while later here came a doe and a spike following and grunting his fool head off. Would of been an easy shot but i've already killed one spike this year so I gave him a pass.
About an hour later another doe came running out of the thicket with this little feller right on her tale.
The old Remington M/L with a 250 gr. Shockwave dropped him in his tracks. Of course he was in the bottom or a near vertical holler and it took me almost 3 hours to get him out. But it was worth every drop of sweat.
