Never heard of this nor that it could happen but it did and all is well Thank God..

Had a cooking pot that had some stains in it I thought I could get out by heating it up with a little water and a drop or two of dish washing liquid.

I have done this alot over the years and guess most of us have.

Had about half a pot of water in it that was starting to get to a light boil if you will. I thought I would let go for few mins while I called my dad.

Just as Dad answered I heard a POOF POP behind me,turned around to see what had casused it,hot water every where.Luckly not on me.

The only thing I can think of is the soap acted as a lid letting pressure build up till it let go.

Lesson learned don't turn your back while cleaning up a pot this way.

I did get a nice clean stove, counter top and floor out of this.

Next time put a big squirt of dish washing liquid in it and smear it around the inside of the pot. Let it soak in for 20 minutes.

Put in dishwasher and run a regular cycle.

Should get a clean pot and a clean floor out of the exercise! :D
