A few of us are heading toward Paris to hunt with Tophat this weekend. Wish us luck!
Hopefully there will be some flying, but if not, we will still have a good time.
And if you don't hear from me next week, start searching Kentucky Lake; they have a real mean dog named Brutus that doesn't like it when you miss a duck!

Me and all three on my sons are headed up tomorrow to hunt with an outfitter. My son booked it so I just know we are staying in Dyersburg. The boys are taking care of the ole man on this one, as they just said "pack you gear dad". It's been about 9 years since we were all able to hunt together.

I know the conditions won't be the best, but the fellowship will be.

Not sure exactly, my son set it up for me/us. Someplace south below the Obion river in some corn plot is a outfitters blind. 25 min N of Dyersburg. Dad grew up around Cottage Grove IN THE 40's. Love getting out to West TN. Better hunting out that way.

Well our family duck slam 2021 is in the books. The fellowship with my sons was over the top great and the best Christmas Gift to me in many years. Saw a lot of ducks, high but not too many quality shots. Most around us report slim pickens so that's hunting. Great blind in a flooded corn lot and guide did all he could to bring them in. Needed some fresh ducks I think. I'll try the last short draw or maybe shoot for the Veterans hunt in Feb

Sounds like a great time, awesome that your boys did that for you. Ducks can't replace the fellowship or time spent with family and friends in a blind
