Got drawn for area 16 friday and saturday. Kinda sucks about it being in the 50's but at least it won't be windy. Hopefully I can get a nice one. Anyone know the rut report up that way?
 
I'm heading up that way tomorrow to hunt area 12 this weekend. Is there any kind of Tndeer get together planned? I'm curious to know about the rut as well.
 
I spent the entire day scouting area 13. The temp and wind made for a tough day. I saw very little buck sign in the woods but did manage to see a few deer, one decent buck. I must hand it to the forrest service as there is more crops and interior food plots on LBL than I can ever remember and I hunted the very 1st quota hunt ever held there. I believe the overall population is down but the first hunt did have good numbers just no whoppers I am hoping that changes this weekend. Good luck and be thankful for all he has given us!
 
Myself and a few other guys spent time in area 16 today and put are stands on some trees and locked them up. Not a lot of sign. But I'm hoping just to see some deer this time. Maybe even get lucky and get a kill for my first public land buck

Same here. Headed up in the morning. Will be in area 12 as well. I think it's going to be a tough hunt unless they are chasing. No acorns and no corn, at least in area 12.
