A buddy of mine from work caught a 10.4 lb Largemouth there Saturday on a jerkbait. Lots of people are throwing Traps down there right now; might wanna give the fish something different to look at. lol

As much as I appreciate Ruger's confidence, when it comes to bass fishing, Kirk's advice is far more dependable. Yes, I've heard biggest, best fish of late on traps and jerk baits. Cover a LOT of water.

Bring the biggest Threadfin shad you can find, works every time!

First day not too good. Partner caught two 2-3 pounders. Threw everything but the boat paddle. Most of the rest we have talked to did about the same.
One rumor that one boat had a 8 and 6 lb off the same point.
Saw one crappie caught. Pretty good wind today and plenty of sun.

Maybe tomorrow!

I just tell them I am apprenticing in bass fishing with my partner and next year he's gonna let me throw lures with hooks on them!
