Best bass I'm hearing about are coming from deeper water.... humps and river channel breaks... 15 to 25 feet depth. Most fishing plastics, tubes & worms... C-rig, T-rig, drop-shot, etc., based on personal preference.

However a few folks finding fish shallower on spinner baits, cranks and even topwater. Of course that's mostly early and late in day.

Honestly the aboslutle BEST advice I can give you is to get in contact with rsimms (see above post) and see if he has an opening this weekend.

Hope you catch a boat full.

I have been catching small bass in the shallows on white flukes. The larger bass are on drop offs and mid river humps. The best fish I have found lately have been along drop off ledges along the main river channel 10-18 feet deep. Carolina rigged and Texas rigged Red lizards and worms dipped in smelly jelly. I had to down size the hooks to 1.0 to get them in the boat. The big 4.0s I normally use were getting spit back out.

Pig and jigs have been getting a decent bite. I was using a brown skirted jig with a green pork frog and caught several about 12 feet deep early this week.
