We believe this is the buck my wife shot opening weekend of ML last year. My wife was sitting in her 21' ladder stand when out of no where come a doe busting out of the thicket and a buck hot on her tail. My wife said all she saw was a massive rack and knew he was a shooter. She could never get him to stop for a shot so while he was at a steady walk she took the shot. He bucked and kicked and ran off with his tail down. I heard her shoot and immediately she came across the radio saying she shot a bigun. I made my way over to where she was at and she was standing next to a good splatter of bright red blood. We marked the spot and began trailing. The blood stopped looking good after only about 30 yrds. I went back and retraced looking for anything we may have overlooked when I came across some bone fragments. They appeared to be from the leg to me but we continued the search for about 4 hours and finally lost the trail after about 150 yards of tracking through heavy pines. We came across a few spots where the deer had stopped/paused but never a place where it bedded down. I went back the next day and searched again but found nothing further.

Yesterday we went and pulled the camera's for the first time this year and had nearly 90 pictures of they guy over the last 3 weeks, Notice the big black knot above his right knee... His body is still big and the rack look like he's gonna be pretty heavy again this year. Im curious to see if his rack will have any deformities from the injury but right now he seems to be growing good.

More pics to follow as the summer progress's hopefully.

Still growing good, added some length in 10 days... that right front leg is so much bigger than the left. I also fixed the date stamp when I pulled the card this weekend.
