Was going to another bird and this one gobbles when I'm practically under him so I'm pinned. Hits the ground, starts drumming then walks off. I hadn't made a call. Reposition and I get him torqued up. Comes to my 1 o'clock at 18 yards and busts me. 20 minutes later he gobbles. I reposition and comes in on a string. Tough lesson for him

Congrats, must not have spooked him too bad if you got him fired back up enough to come back 20 min later. It's usually over an hour before I can rework a bird I've buggered.

Unfortunately no. I had the cam on the tree he was behind about 25 yards. He gobbles and you can hear him spit n drumming. I thought either side he pops out on he's dead. How he slipped out on me is still a mystery. Ended up shooting him 15 yards to left of where he is in the pic
