Anderson/Roane co def getting hit hard in some areas, ORWMA for instance seeing lots dead. So many in the lake around Haw ridge area the Kayakers thought somebody was poaching and leaving them. Half dozen in half mile stretch on the lake. Ive had several others reported close by as well.

Roane county got hit hard. I've also known of one deer in Hamilton and one in Polk.

Not so sure Roane got hit that hard. I drive a school bus and have been talking to other drivers and we run the hold County. Haven't talked to any drivers that's seen it. Let's hope it was isolated.

Where does this info come from? local news? TWRA? I live in south Roane..... I have had cameras out since Late June... not one pic of a shooter....but still seeing deer...

My question is below and if anyone has seen this occur in deer they have on their property I would be highly curios to here of your observations. I have a buck that has lost most of his points during the last camera pull. The interesting thing about this is that his points are literally falling over and off. I mean they appear to be melting like a candle and flopping over. His ribs are showing severely. One of his brow tines has just flopped over along with two other points. This deer also showed up on our other farm that is probably a quarter mile away or so. Over the past 13 years of running cameras Ive never seen the same buck on camera on these two different properties this early in the year. Not sure what that means or if it has any significance. I am however taken back to why this deers antlers are just flopping over and rack shrinking. He looks very sickly. Does this have any relevance to EHD/HD/BT? IF not has anyone observed this with deer on there properties? He was healthy all summer and not till now have these changes occurred. I live in Anderson county. BTW..Deer sightings on property where he has been all summer have dropped significantly as the other property has not. I have not found dead deer around though. Very odd. Thanks

He could have broke his rack up while still in velvet (car collision maybe). Ive saw this happen with bucks literally having a tine or two just hanging by the velvet until it dries up and falls off.

I know of some cases in Gravelly valley area of Hawkins co.

I was seeing 7 different bucks on my property in Northeast Knox county. I have 0 in the last month. A friend of mine owns 40 acres about a half mile from me. He has found 4 dead in a pond on his property in the last 2 weeks. It sounds really bad and from my lack of photos in the last 4 weeks, could be devastating to the herd in my area. I've about decided I'm going to play border patrol agent on my property to keep trespassers out and not even hunt.

It's bad. I've found a bunch in Fentress. Many people are thinking of just not hunting. Heck I usually have to dodge numerous deer as I drive through Morgan County on my way to work every day. This summer though, haven't even seen a deer on my route in weeks.

Its bad in Roane County, Morgan County, Cumberland County. I heard second hand from TWRA, around here they're thinking from 50% to 75% of the population

Just saw this little guy on watts bar on John Knox peninsula. Definitely EHD. Foaming at the mouth and close to water. Lethargic to the point that I could have caught him.
