the Brownsville Utility Dept, Brownsville Tennessee is trying to obtain a permit to dump 3,000,000 gallons of sewage per day into the Scenic Hatchie River, a law was proposed and passed in 1968 that protects the Hatchie River "TCA 11-13-101", this was proposed by Mr Bill Walker who now lives about 2 miles from me.

there are many "river rats" like me who does not want this to happen to the Hatchie

is the TWRA aware of this, if so can you give us some details

Ray, I have heard no discussion of this. You may want to check with our Environmental Division (David McKinney, Chief, or Rob Todd, Asst. Chief) to see if they are aware. My guess is it is a TDEC issue, but our gus may be plugged in to some degree.

yes, it is a TDEC issue, we need phone numbers of people to contact, David and Rob, and we need someone to represent TWRA at a public meeting
