I love love love mine. Super light weight and super sharp.

You have to be extra careful not to slice your fingers off. It will cut you open so fast you won't realize you're missing a hand.
 
I dont use mine to quarter or debone. I use it to field dress and skin. I have a small saw I use for the pelvic bones and rib cage.

It's different and if you use it like you would a normal knife - you will not like it. But if you use it like Poser said, I think you will love it.
 
I am still getting used to mine. Poser is right - you can't muscle it. I broke 2 blades and had a few other blades dislodge themselves while quartering deer this week. I got frustrated and grabbed my Gerber Gator and finished the job.

My wife got me one, and it is my "go to" knife now for field dressing.
I keep something heavier is I need to cut through ribs, etc.

BTW, they make two different blades for them, so be sure and get the thicker one. I don't have the part numbers with me, but it is something like 60A.
 
Bought one this year. Haven't used it yet but it's the sharpest tool in my bag without a doubt. There's just something about not having to worry about sharpening a blade that makes me happy.

How much are those flimsey blades?, I think I'll stick with my Buck 110.
Its sharp as a razor and doesn't break.
 
I used 1 single blade to gut, skin, quarter, and de-bone an elk while in CO Last year. Minimize blunt force contact with bone and use more finesse to make short work of any animal. Blade changes are a snap if you do get dull. I love mine and use it for all of my processing work. The larger knife with filet blade is wicked for trim work in the kitchen. Highly suggest them. I liked the idea because I usually can't get an edge on a knife by sharpening alone.
 
Ive quartered up five deer with mine this year and love it. However, it shouldn't be used to pry or cut any type of bone or it will break or dual in seconds. I usually change my blade after each quartering and deboning. Just be careful not to cut yourself because the knife is pretty light and its easy to slice yourself. These knives are basically scalpels and should be used as such, just like doctors don't use one to cut bone or hard tissue.
 
I've had a piranta since it came out. Butchered a 700 lb elk and several deer with one.

This year I used an Outdoor edge razor blaze to quarter a deer and pack him out. The blaze IMO is superior to the piranta in almost every category.

- ergonomics are better, non slip handle, bigger and fills the hand better.
- Blades are stronger and less likely to break because there is a support piece that reinforces the blade
- Blades aren't scary to change and don't require a tool.

Only downside is that it's 1 to 1.5 oz heavier.

I'm sure there are advantages of both the piranta and the Outdoor edge but I can't seem to sway from my Buck 110.
I have a few other knives I use like a hen and rooster but I always prefer the Buck.

X2 on the outdoor edge. I got one this year and they are an awesome knife for field dress to processing. My go to knife now.
