ever sprayed their trail cameras to keep spiders off ? I went to check my camera today and a spider had built a web across the lens. I've had this happen before. Anybody ever tried spraying ? Did it work ? What did you use ?

Yeah too much trouble. Got a few but doubt a I'll put them out . Cellular don't work at my property.

I think Permethrin would be the best idea. I little less "stinky" than other insecticides. I would never spray anything directly on the lens of the camera, but around it would be fine.

I would not spray anything on the camera, just wipe it on with a rag dampened with permethrin.

Definitely don't use deet. It'll damage/melt/disform anything plastic on the camera. Permithrin is safe but no deep woods off!

Put some short Q Tips on the corners of the camera with Gorilla tape that were dipped in insect killer. Just don't spray lenses
