Their quality control is 2nd to none, and with the Harvester sabots, they are typically a little easier to load than most.

However, I've switched over to an all-copper Barnes bullet that groups well for me, and I believe might be a tad better bullet on large deer.

I was happy with the .300 gr PT Golds and wouldn't hesitate to use them on deer. Would still be using them if didn't get good groups with the Barnes.
 
I would not say their QC is 2nd to none. I know of at least one vendor who got some 2nds. They were not correctly sized IIRC.

Harvesters Scorpion bullets are made by Rainier. They are plated and not jacketed. QC on plating isnt that great really compared to a good jacketed bullet.

They are however very fairly priced and a great value. Now if Speer made a poly tip DeepCurl ML bullet, that would be a awesome plated bullet. Speers QC is normally excellent on the DCs and GDs.

You are correct in that I did overstate my satisfaction. :)

There are many good muzzleloader bullets available.
Among them, I've found the PT Golds to be among the best in terms of manufacturing consistency, weight, and groups at the range. But the people at Harvester are definitely "2nd to none" with their customer service. At least that has been my experience.

More popular than their bullets, remain their "Harvester" sabots --- the very best imo. And I almost feel guilty for not continuing to use those PT Gold bullets.

For anyone that wants to buy Harvester sabots or bullets, i would recommend Ed's Gunshop in NC. You wont pay the insane shipping and Carlos provides grade A service.

Plus he sells the PT Golds for slightly under $20/50.

Check Grafs for Harvester sabots too. My last purchase was under $6/50 for the smooth and under $7/50 for Crushribs.
