just wanted to mention that I love the harpeth. started fishing there when I was 11 and still is one of, if not my favorite place to fish. Just lately I have been hunting and not fishing, but driving or walking by the river makes me want to wet a line more every time. I may have to take one free day soon, away from deer hunting and just go fishing. I am missing the perfect weather and cooler, clearer water. want to throw soft plastics, or possibly try to catch a fall carp. there is something real therapeutic about fishing a creek. I love my boat and getting out on the bigger rivers and lakes, but it all goes back to the harpeth river and its tributaries. well I am just talking now, it's late and I need some sleep. Anyone else got some good memories from local streams? I think I'm gonna have to wet a line here soon.

I used to be a diehard bowhunter, as soon as the season opened, I would be in the woods. Well, thus year I've only been deer hunting twice. I've been fishing the rest of my free time. All I can say is that October fishing is awesome.

Been fishing the harpeth, south harpeth, brush creek, turnbull, and more for almost 30 years. Once hunting season starts I don't fish until january.

I took the canoe out on saturday on the harpeth. It was an awesome day to be on the water. The fishing wasnt fantastic, but ive seen worse. I caught 6 or 7 bass and a crappie on the 3 hour trip all by my lonesome, I couldnt get anybody to go.

I was hoping noone would notice. It's from the Grinch. I never like to post pictures of brookies caught in tailwaters. I just don't feel they belong there, but this one just had all the right colors, I had to.
