drove by today and the new access area is still roped off. I guess this means no stocked trout for the 2nd time in a row. When is their darn riverbank restoration going to be "ready" for use? I thought it was cool that they took out the old lowhead dam. But now that there's no dam, there's no dam trout fishing! I sent an email to the HRWA asking about it.

I don't care too much for the winter trout but I do like to catch my limit once or twice. And there's this old timer who usually is at the river access on stocking day to sell trout magnets and their gear for cheap. I have wanted to buy some TMs from him and catch a few trout. But so far it's still closed. Hopefully next month... Anyone in the franklin area a bit frustrated?

Ease on down here to Spring Hill - there was a mess of people fishing today since they stocked the creek again on Friday.

I probably will got a pic texted to me from nimrod of several trout he caught down there.

Diehard hunter, some day I will make it over there to fish.

I don't think they are going to stock it for a while. Some local group is opposed to the stocking and they are preventing TWRA from doing it.

When I first moved here I was always wondering why so many people were fishing in that ditch off Kedron rd. Then I found out it was the creek they stocked. I may have to check it out one day.

I hope not... Although the HRWA is a bit tree huggerish. I don't know if they are opposed to stocking trout but their reason for canceling the stocking is because the grass they planted on the river bank needs to grow before people can use the area. They took a lot of the big trees out and replaced them with a few baby trees. And erosion netting and grass and rocks. Whole place looks different and has been closed since they started in the summer.
