Harpeth River Report

Took the Kayak out today. Harpeth has been running high and wild last 6 weeks. Still a little fast but a beautiful day to be on the river. Wind made it a little tough. Did manage one nice fish almost 19".They seem to be heading for the deeper holes. About 4 others under 12". Caught on Berkely Power Bait Pumkinseed worm on a 1/16 slider head. Saw no deer. Thought for sure I would see some chasing going on , but nothing.

thats an awesome fish for skinny water. Can you get a motorized boat in this river?

nice fish. Use to do the all day floats on it for years. What part of the river do you usually fish?

Anywhere from Kingston Springs past The Narrows. I like The Narrows you can put in/ take out w/ 1 car. You could run w/ small boat when river is up but better have a jet motor or a bag of shear pins.

nothing like those river smallies. they fight like marlins in that cold water.
