I bought a harley davidson 883 sportster for trail riding. The back tire is slick so I'm going to replace it with a off road tire. Who makes a good tire for off road use?
 
don't sound like such a good idea to me but what do i know? i tried to take a super glide down the river :eek:

no paddle!!! i didn't even have a boat! a HD makes a better submarine than a boat. :D
 
I've been thinking of the same concept, but I'd use a 2003 or older. The rubber mount frames are at least 50 pounds heavier. And beware that stones between the belt and pulley will break the belt. Serious gravel riding will require a chain and sprocket conversion.
