Anyone seeing bucks chasing yet? I have been several times and it appears they are only pushing the does at this point.

Ihunted Thurs and saw 3 younger bucks grouped up still and opening day saw 3 mature bucks none were even worried about doe. I've always seen rut hit thanksgiving week. And the way its dragging I'd guess it for that week. O yeah just north of grand j

Thanks, I a hunting in the Hickory Valley area. Did not see anything yesterday. did see a fairly decent 8 pt watching two does while driving thru LaGrange enroute to Collierville yesterday afternoon around 2:30 pm. Last Sunday had a decent 6 pt come by me while bow hunting. The sound of wind and leaves falling kept me from hearing him coming. Otherwise I would have stuck him good about 15 yds behind me. By the time I saw him it was not a good shot walking away. He was by himself and did not show any signs of Rut. I think they are on the verge of breaking out at any moment.

Last Saturday I seen 6 bucks including an 8 and a 9 and were together like they were still in a bachelor group.
Same club,on Wednesday another member seen several smaller bucks and a nice shooter pushing does.
This is in the Whiteville-Bolivar area.

Up off of 100 near the river they aren't doing much of anything as far as chasing goes, scrapes are starting to show up in numbers

It's been slow at my place with this weather but checked my cameras and the big 8s I got are still grouped up together

I am just across the county line in Fayette. We are seeing small bucks together and sparring a little. Very few scrapes. Big bucks haven't been seen during the day and pics are all at night. Seems early.

Have I missed it?
Between my Dad and I, we've seen 14 does and one spike...
One group of 4 does with a spike.
A group of 7 does, and 2 does together all this morning.

Haven't been able to hunt since Sunday. Hope it's just getting
off to a slow start this year, and I didn't miss it.

No
We should start to see bucks chasing soon.
I have seen 2 chasing already but they are young bucks, 2.5yr olds.
I think the next 11 days should be good.

I've seen chasing, cruising, pestering, and lone fawns the last 5 days but also am seeing packs of does (and singles) remain unmolested by bucks. Yesterday evening there were 2 bucks feeding on one end of the field and a doe came out on the other. They looked up...and went back to eating.

Things are still on the uptick.
