I been using a tree seat about 40 yards from a box blind that was in need of a few repairs. Well yesterday those got done by my son goes by Crittergitter on here Derek is his name. He sent pictures of progress and I got all excited! We'll we met up at the property this morning, and since I hadn't climbed in it yet I sat in the tree seat till it got light. It was extremely calm morning. I wanted to be sure I got in the box well before 7:30, just a time in my head that I feel deer start to travel. Well I climbed up, he did a fantastic job ladder was solid as a rock, and got settled. It was lots of squirrels and birds keeping me looking till I heard walking, steady walking. I looked and a chocolate horn deer that looked pretty nice put me in autodrive reaching for the 270. He was in thick stuff and I had to hurry more than I liked and shot a bit far back, and he ran a strait line out of sight. Derek texted me a picture the time I shot of this deer crossing the field I was supposed to be watching, but my attention was out a different window. Derek brought the truck down and he blood trailed to him about 100 yds down the woods. This is what we found. Here are before and after pictures of his handiwork. Derek was sending me this picture right as I fired. I wish it had come out better, but is the last picture we will see him in.
