Was really hoping this would might hold out till opening morning wtih his velvet but o well. How do you think hell score now that we can see hard horn?

Definately becoming a regular, he is in there all hours of the day.
 
Ya im not expecting a great score, he a good buck for the area, and will definately get stuck with the bow, but may let him walk with a gun.
 
Good luck with him man...Im gonna go check all 3 of my cams on the 21st,hopeing to get some hard horns then,and so I can make my decission on where I wanna hunt opening morning.

90. My bucks were starting to show up as hard antlered the last time I check my cameras last week. I expect most will be hard antlered this week when I check them. Fun to see pics one day in velvet and the hard the next day. Good luck with that buck.
 
I have been running a camera since 06 and this is the first pic I have gotten with the "trash" ( velvet) hanging off the horns. I was pretty happy to finally get one. LIke to kill one with it hanging but its all gone off this boy.

It's the Tennessee dream!

A few of my buddies and I joke around about deer like this. Every year we say we aren't going to stick one like that with a bow, every year one of us does.

He's a good deer that would be even better with another year on him but who cares, if he makes you happy, let him have it.
 
He definately will get stuck if he passes by. The 8 pt I killed last year had the same characteristic sweeping back g2 on his right side like this buck.

That buck will never have a good spread but he could get a lot taller and heavier. I've seen some huge bucks with 14-15" spreads. Even if your all about score, spread is one of the least important factors.
