Anyone ever have that happen with 209 primer?when i shot the 4 deer earlier this week the second shot had a delay.the other shots were fine.I didn't expect a delay with the 209 it seems strange.
 
It just needed a little time to rest between shots LOL

had a hang fire yesterday using a 209. Loaded up before i went out at 5:30 and tried to shoot a decent 4 pt at about 10:30, i got a pop-bang and apparantly pulled my shot high. Dont know if loading it in the warm house, then taking it out to the cold had anything to do with it, I had ran a 2 dry patches down it before loading. Not sure what happened.

not sure if you asked the last poster that or me but I was shooting the triple 7 powder with win primers in a cva wolf.never had any problem before and the next two shots a few minutes later were fine.
 
I've had a couple hang fires at the range with the Winchester Triple 7 primers. They are junk. I switched to the Remington Kleanbore primers and the hang fires stopped.
 
If you want a primer that will work everytime get the Federal Primers...they are the best quality and make BH209 go boom everytime for me.
 
The Winchester primers I've tried were junk. Not sure what to do with the rest of the box of them, but they rarely set off the powder the first time. The Remington ones have worked great.

In my CVA Wolf, the Triple 7 primers create a delay and they are dirtier than hell. Have no idea why the delay but less hotter primers work just fine. I use the Winchester W209. Somewhere I remember that the 209A primer is not for use in our ML's. Make sure you aren't using those as that could be an issue. I'll try and find what I'm talkin about with the 209A primers and report back.

Are those 209? Where do ya get em'? They sound interesting.
 
It's because the last time you cleaned it some lube got into the flash hole. It's happen to me now I make sure It's clear before I load it. Next time check your flash hole.
 
Win primers are not as hot.....Get hotter primers and you might try cleaning your breech plug hole occasionally.....Triple seven will gather moisture sometimes also......That should fix everything.

But, did you fire off a primer after you ran the patches down the barrel? You could have pushed a little something into the ignition area...Always fire a primer or cap before you load!
