What is the best way to view cards in the field?
Wildgame Innovations sell a handheld viewer for $70. Is it any good? Thanks

I take the mem card out and stick it in my camera. I have cheapo Wild game and Tasco trail cams and a 16meg Samsung camera.

I understand a lot of trail cams are NOT interchangeable like mine are. Or, they view to a particular location on the mem card and you have to navigate to where they are located or you have to create the necessary location on your card.

You should be able to make a standard camera work instead of buying yet another device. Am I crazy here?

Have you ever seen the digital photo frames ? I have used one of them before . They are alot cheaper than the photo viewers .

I usually just swap the card and look when I get home so I can organize also.. I like to get in and out as quickly as possible.

But if I do want to look when I'm there, I just carry my digital camera or my wife's small laptop which has a built in spot for the card...

I have always swapped the cards and waited till I got home. However, after doing some thinking, I would like to be able to view them in the field. That way I will know while I am there if I might want to move a camera or something instead of finding out when I get home. I wish they made an adapter to plug an sd card and memory stick into an iphone. I can check the pics on my homebrews in the field with the LCD screen. It would just be nice to have a little bigger screen to check them on.

If your willing to spend $70 on a viewer then just buy a digital camera for the same price. You can view pics on it and take pics when you need too.
