ham jerky

i had a guy to tell me a easy way to make jerky was to buy the cheap pre cook pre slice hams at walmart.i bought one soaked it in dales over nite. it turned out pretty goood imo.

Hmm...don't think I've ever had ham jerky. Dry it out in a dehydrator or the oven?

i used my dehydrator. took 5 hrs set on 160. id never heard of it before either. the guy in the meat dept looked at me like i was crazy when i said i was going to make jerky lol

Ham is pretty fatty I wouldn't have though it would make a good jerky.

me either but those cheap hams are processed so its not like a traditional ham youd bake.my was sliced really thin and i just soaked it in dales over nite . it turned out good.
