Shot the new Matthews today. Actually went to Custom Gear to shoot the new Elite Impulse thinking I'd be buying one in the next couple weeks. After I shot it Mike talked me into shooting the Halon. I've always sworn I'd never shoot a Matthews but after sending one arrow through the Halon that all changed. I'll have one ordered Monday. Can't wait for it to get here and get it set up!

I'm a Hoyt guy myself. I went to the archery shop Saturday and the guy told me to shoot the Halon 6. I picked it up and immediately put it back down. I knew that if I shot it, I would be talked into a Mathews! ha

Went back last night to pick up my arrows from Saturday. Shot it. Love it. Probably gonna have my Hoyt for sale soon..... :bash:

Wow. For real. I've always liked hoyts better and shot them more accurate. What would say changed ur minds about this bow. I always haven't liked short brace height bows. Yawl like the 6 inch brace height ?

I talked to Mike for a while about whether or not he could tell the difference in the 6 vs 7 inch height. He said after about a month of lightly shooting both he couldn't tell any difference. I grew up a Hoyt guy myself but I wasn't brand loyal to the point of convincing myself the Hoyt felt better than the Matthews. To be honest I didn't even shoot the new Defiant this
Year. I shot the new Hoyt last year and didn't even like it as well as my Turbohawk. This bow wasn't nearly as top heavy to me as most Matthews I've handled and shot in the past. It also had a back wall comparable to the Elite, which I love. And it was 100% dead on the shot. Not to mention it was a good bit faster than my Turbohawk.

Well I went today to get a new bowtech btx and ended up with a mathews halon 6 and after shooting both mathews was an easy choice for me, setting up now and can't wait too shoot.

I shot the 5,6, and 7. Even the 5 shoots light years better than my Spyder Turbo. I would venture to say that it's the best shooting bow I have ever shot.

And I am someone who has not been impressed with Mathews since the Switchback!
