Memphis, duh.
Kind of a stupid question maybe but after a 20 year hiatus I returned to hunting this season and yesterday killed the first squirrel I was able to find.(third squirrel, one hung in tree and couldn't find another in the underbrush)I skinned it like I remember from growing up (shirt and pants) but wound up with some hairs on the meat. Washing wouldn't get them off. What do YOU do in this situation?

I usually soak mine in salt water overnight in the fridge before i freeze them or cook them. That usualy gets all the hair off.

I've got just the thing for you. Soak the squirrel in water for about 10 to 15 minutes before you skin it. I had an old squirrel hunter from around Lewisburg tell me about this trick 30 years ago. I've used it ever since. Soaking the squirrel until the hair is completley wet will make it less likely to stick to the flesh when you skin it. If some hair does get on the meat, it's much easier to get off.
