The heat is rising in Western KY. Had multiple bucks cruise in, check does, rub, scrape, test each other. several nice three year olds, a couple promising 2 year olds, a 4 year old 8 point that needs a little more time all within 20 yards over and over. The does were in and out of the area. a large mature shooter buck, possibly the old man I am chasing skirted the glenn and everyone stood nervously still till he passed at about 60 yards. The most exciting sit I have ever had with a bow and I didnt even draw. It was constant action and adrenaline for over 2 1/2 hours. The big 8 grunt growled a couple times while testing a 3 year old with an extra main beam!!! They were rather vocal. Never seen that up close and personal. I had to wait way pass dark to climb down but I needed that to settle down. I have been deer hunting for 40 years, I experienced more tonight than in my first 2 decades combined. God is Great!

Sounds like a great sit. I have had those experiences and remember them vividly. I remember sitting in the stand an hour past dark on a full moon one evening in late October listening to bucks fight, snort-wheeze and "roar" right underneath my tree stand. To this day, I look at the tree I was sitting in every time I walk through that area
 
Those are the types of hunts that keep us coming back for more. Glad you got to experience it, and a very successful hunt despite no kill.
