Had a first today...

I was in my stand this evening when I heard something coming towards me. I look off in the direction and see something slipping towards me bet agile like. It was a freaking bobcat. First time I've ever seen one in the wild. He got about 15 yards away, then spotted me and stared for a minute and turned and took off. Pretty cool experience.

I saw my first and only 2 years ago. It was a kitten. The first adult in range is getting lead slung it's way

Just a reminder there is an actual bobcat season that starts Nov 16th. My first and only sighting was during bow season this year.

I knew there was a season, didn't know when it opened at the time so I didn't even attempt a shot. I know it opens tomorrow now....

I've heard of more sightings this year than ever. My dad killed one with a mzl one year, but it was when the season was split. I didn't see one for a long time, then killed 2 in 2 years (both during rifle season). If it's not rifle season, the season probably hasn't started yet. Keep that in mind.
