I have always been interested in the H&K p7 with the cocker in the front of the grip. Anybody have one or any expierence with one. I know they make fine pistols. i used to have a usp compact 45 and i wish i had never sold it!!

I have shot one before. Very nice pistol, but it takes some getting used to. It is akward to sqeeeze the grip and the trigger at the same time.

Ditto. H&K quality is among the very best available, but the entire concept is different from what most shooters who have much experience with semi-auto centerfires are accustomed to. If you are going to depend on it for serious business purposes, I recommend you plan on expending serveral hundred rounds of ammo and more than one range session getting accustomed to it.

I've shot a buddy's a good bit. They get pretty hot in front of the trigger guard from the gas retarding piston system. I didn't have any problem getting used to the squeeze cocker and it was one of the most accurate pistols I've ever shot.
