Headed down to Alabama to see if we could get some action. Water temps varied from 60-74 degrees depending on if you were in the main channel or the pockets. It was a slow weekend for us and all the people we talked to. Caught fish on traps and plastics. Everybody and their brother was throwing A-rigs but i never seen the first fish caught on it. Best fish of the trip was 5-4. Did catch my first bowfin on this trip.

Wow, I've fished Guntersville alot and never caught a bowfin. That thing would have freaked me out a little.

I think as effective as the A rig was on Guntersville, it has been thrown so much the fish are getting conditioned to it. But most of the fish are in 3 feet or less, and that not real conducive for an A rig. They will be caught again when the ledge bite hits in the next month or two.
