Gun Smith

Who is a good Gun Smith in the Chattanooga area? I would like to have a long range gun built for deer/elk hunting. I have heard if you are selective you can build a good long range gun for aroung $1000 to $1200. Any suggestions would be great.

I don't know of any gunsmiths in your area but I would think $1200 would be cutting it close for a custom built rifle as long as you aren't including the glass in that price and you don't need the best of everything. You are not going to get a lija barrel and a McMillian stock with that.

I add even if you supplied the action I would turn away from someone who says they can print the action and build the rifle for said price!!!

Firefox I already have two actions that I can use I have one savage 10 and a remington 700. I was thinking 250 to 300 for barrel and 250 for a stock. That would put me at 600 that would leave another 600 for gunsmithing and labor is that way to low.
