I flew down to MS to fish for a long weekend with my uncle. Fished friday, rained saturday, fshed sunday and came home monday. I could not be more impressed with the fishing down there. Lots of stuff that has not been rebuilt, kinda ghetto, but the fishin was hot. Caught a mixed bag which included black drum, stingrays, flounder, reds, crabs, mullet, croakers or kroakies(I just named em krogers) Saltwater trout, catfish- you name it, it was on the hook it seemed.
I caught a 40lb Irwin which completely worked my forearm
it had been caught before cause it's tail was cut off
I also caught a 15lb black drum which was cool
My uncles girlfriend caught an even bigger drum
My uncle had big fish with this 49" red. He fought it for 45mins on 12lb test while we chased it in the boat. It was a beast!
I had a little fun at the casinos and the dive bars also
Was a great 4 day weekend and I can't wait to go back!!
