This is a bullet that I recovered from a buck I shot this morning. I was shooting my Tikka T3 270 WSM. The buck was shot at about 50 to 60 yds. Muzzle velocity was 3300 fps. Beginning weight was 130 grains and ending weight is 84.6 grains.

The bullet is the original Swift Scirroco 130 grain bullet. I can see why they made the Scirroco II. The thicker jacket of the second generation Scirroco will aid in deeper penetration. This bullet flat out pancaked and maybe penetrated 8 to 10 inches. Definetly not bullet failure and performed just like they claim it should.

I thought that might be the one,recall you and Kimberman useing them before.Glad it held for you as they are,or were in your case supposed to do.

BTW most bullets test with them they useally go around the as the BT or just short they arent know for peneration..

Have to Ask did you hit bone,shoulder ???
