GSP this week?

Anyone think it will be good? I plan on Wednesday afternoon if the roads aren't snowed or iced over. I'm guessing a few cold days and the fish might be moving up into the channel more, is it worth while? I've only been there once.

I would check to see what roads will be open before you drive over here. I would say a lot of the roads in the park will be shut down.

It's been great, the kayak anglers brave enough to fish this bitter cold have been catching them 40+ pounds out there. I'm not quite brave enough to get in my kayak in those temps so I haven't been out there. The nastier the weather, the fewer people go, the better the fishing is. It's that simple. I'm considering going Saturday or Sunday morning. The weather will keep the crowds away and I have the itch to have one of those beasts give my drag a good workout.

I'm not so happy now, it was too icy to bother driving an hour to the boat ramp on Wednesday, my boat is full of ice anyway, and I work all weekend. I work most mornings and evenings during the week and get one maybe two evenings off, and not sure if ill make it to the steam plant again this year. Almost rather go to Cordell Hull tailwaters for sauger
