Gruntin and chasin today!

In overton co...still dark n I'm halfway up the tree when i hear a deer runnin right to me! Then i hear a buck gruntin as he trots behind her....i stop climbin n start pullin my gun up n the buck nearly tangles up in my rope he's so close! I get loaded and aim but it is still too dark...i know its a buck standin 15 feet from me but i just don't have enough daylight so i just listen as he walks away....first sign of rut i have seen this year btw

Dang, still waiting for that to happen in Wayne county with the big ones.........seen some small ones but the big boys seem to be hiding!!
