If all you want to do is stop him, then save your money and do a mouth bleat. But you better be ready for the shot.
 
I got one from Mike Yingling (he is known for his turkey calls more than deer) that is really nice. If you are talking about store bought I like the hunters Specialties Tru Talker and the Primos Buck Roar. I do carry one of the little bleat cans once the rut starts getting closer, have had it work for me several times bringing in a buck I could see but had no shot at.

Got a very old one can't remember who made it or endorsed it but it's a killer , called a lot of bucks in with it . Thinking the guy that developed Mossey Oak sold it under that name best I can remember .

I got a grunt call made by mike yingling I believe is how you spell his ass name. Guy can flat out make calls. He's known more for his turkey slate glass etc but his grunt calls are awesome

Extinguisher if you want to call occassionally. To stop him, use the meh but either be on him or at full draw when you do.
 
Hunting show guys always do the MEH. I think everyone copies them out of habit. I lip squeek. Always have. It stops en on a dime.! On the shows, it seems to take the MEH forever to make em stop
 
Just found a closeout deal on the extinguisher and black rack. Should be fun in late october and early november on the scrape lines
