Went fishing twice the past week or two.
The first time, I took my spinning rod combo I use for bream/crappie/trout. I'm using 4# line, as always. Only this time, I had problems with the line getting tied up around the tip of the rod. Got fed up with it and went home. I chalked it up to being tired and irritable.
Second time I went, I used my bait caster. I was going to try for some bass. I tied on a 1/4 oz spinnerbait and started casting. I was doing ok until the line started backlashing. No problem, I made a few adjustments and kept casting. Until I got a birds nest...and could'nt get it out. Again, I left....tired and irritable.
Told my dad about my outings, and he asked when was the last time I changed my line. LIGHTBULB MOMENT. Apparently I need to change my line, because the last time I changed it was...well, i don't remember.
Guess I will be doing that this weekend.
