Groundhog problems

I got a groundhog in the backyard. I really didn't have a problem with him until he went up in the engine compartment of my truck. I'm afraid he'll chew on stuff.

I saw where it's open season all year long with no limit. Am I right that it would be illegal to relocate him over by the lake somewhere? If so I guess the only other option is to kill him. Which by the way my wife doesn't want me to do.....

I have a have-a-heart trap that I can catch him with.

It is illegal for you to relocate it without written authorization from the Executive Director.

Thanks for the quick answer. I'd rather be in trouble with my wife than the executive director. LOL
