Food Plots Ground hog maxing it

I bought a ground hog max and thought I would try putting in a small plot on a ridge by the power lines. I had to go in and cut it with a weed eater and cutting blade. Here is what it looked like before I started running it over. Then the next pictures are after 30 minutes of ridding around. I put clover, rape, winter wheat and some odds and ins. Got the mix from a throw and grow bags and some at local farmers market. Maybe some will come up, I didn't do any other ground prep.

Yea i was hesitant but after watching youtube videos of it in action i thought what the heck. I was amazed because i just drove around and had a ball doing it as well.

We were trying out a single blade plow behind the 4 wheeler this morning. It wasn't easy and kept snagging on roots. I came home and saw a video of the Groundhog. This would have been soooooo much easier.

Finally got a chance to really try out the ground hog max. it did pretty good for a 300.00 set up. did a 1/4 acre plot in about 2 hours. that's disking, seeding, dragging and taking a couple breaks along the way. running a Polaris 700 v-twin with no EPS will wear our your arms and shoulders. recommend a UTV/ATV with power steering or a few extra buddies to help out. i went about 2 weeks ago and sprayed the plot area, killed if off some what, but it was still lots of grass in the middle and small spots through out. You can see close to the camera about how much ground cover i had to work thru.

Did you have a 2"x2" receiver on the Polaris, or did you use the attachment kit? I have heard mostly good things about the GHM, but I have heard a slight concern that if you don't have a really strong receiver, you can risk some damage to your ATV (especially if you are working some tough ground). Plot looks great, either way! Good luck hunting over it this fall!

GKG, I used the GHM kit for my Polaris. I would recommend if you can find a heavy duty 2" hitch, to get it. But the kit works good.

Nice job, mine came out good for first time doing one. Got pics of some does and spike grazing but no shooters yet.
