I just sighted in mine with its original open sights. Hitting a playing card at 50 yds. Using the Gn. sabot and speer .429 JSP 240 gr. over 70 grs. of Pyro P. So i am ready fer the next ML season.

I shoot a Grey Hawk too. No sabot though. 80grs of black powder and 370 gr TC Maxi Ball and I hit the playing card at 80 yds, scoped. I used to use open sights too but let too many oportunities slip away. No more for that reason.

I will have to see if T/C has a scope mount and rings. My eyes ain't near what they were when i was in my 40's. Just shy of 60 now by few years. I have some round balls and Pa. conicals and few other conicals to try out.

Not sure if they are still available by TC or not. Takes the same for a New Englander. I think it's part #9940, base, and a quick detach mount is #9975. I got mine off eBay and also found one at a gun show.
