I was worried the deer wouldn't move much this morning since it was so warm. After a day full of eating I definitely wanted to sleep in today, but I knew I would be irritable once I woke up if I didn't go hunting.
I got settled in the stand near our main food plot about 35 minutes before daylight. At 6:15 this buck crosses the plot! I shot and he took off. I felt good about the shot but he ran off like nothing happened. I decided to wait an hour before taking up the blood trail. 10 minutes later a bobcat comes out and I shot it at 230 yards. I figured if I could hit that bobcat, I would have hit the buck at 75 yards! Lol
Perfect shot behind the shoulder, but he ran about 150 yards. Nice 10 point that we've been getting pictures of all season. Hardeman county

Awesome, anything left of the cat?
I flailed around a bit and went into some thick stuff. I looked for it for a few minutes, but was more worried about getting the buck taken care of since it was so warm today.
