Mine got delivered by the UPS truck this morning. I set it up and messed with it a little. It only takes a minute to set it to trim brass to any length. I can trim, chamfer and deburr a piece in about 20 seconds or so and the trim length is consistent. I was doing each step with a drill and it seemed to take forever. If you hate brass prep this thing really helps speed it up.

Still out of stock. Bummer, that price is definitely right.

for new-to-me brass:
First I trim brass to .010 below SAAMI spec. This is torture. My hands ache for days. I will do an entire order at one sitting-generally 200 or 400 pieces.

Next: I clamp my B&D variable speed drill to my desktop with a cutting tool in the chuck and get things rolling at the right speed. I will then chamfer inside mouth for all the trimmed brass. Change tool, chamfer outside edge. Change tool, cut primer pocket to correct depth (just for new brass).

For fired-by-me brass:
First decap in decapping die. Trim only if necessary. If trimmed, must chamfer. No primer pocket work. Tumble like crazy. Prime every case. Store headstamp up.

Some calibers will immediately be loaded with proven recipe-06, 280, 22-250, 243. 7mm08 bolt, 223 bolt. If I am going to try a new bullet weight or construction (.284 120 gr ttsx barnes for example) I break out many load manuals, check all places on line, getting the feel of where I am going. I will load 3 groups of 5 and thats it until range results are evaluated.
