My brother and I recruited a buddy to take us fishing this morning since our boat trailer is out of commission until we get a new axle. Our buddy doesn't get to fish near as much as he used to Anymore. His trolling motor battery died on us by 9 this morning. We tried to fish some dead water out of the wind and current to no avail. Finally I told them let's just go back to where we had been and I'll use the big motor to control the boat. It took me a little bit to get it figured out but once I did it was on. We proceeded to run out of minnows 2 fish before catching our limits. We just put some random plastic on and caught our last two in no time. Best day I've had sauger fishing in quite some time.
