Anyone have any experience with these? I planted 2 granny smiths and a yellow delicious. I have read they ripen in oct-nov. I would like to know how long does it take them to produce? They are 1 year old trees. Thanks!
Depends on way to many factors to guess. Rootstock being the biggest factor and then assuming they are on a good site. I have a 20+ year old in the yard that I just prune every now and then and dont spray. It produces some small wormy, scabby apples and gets cedar apple rust bad every year but does produce a decent crop. Those always drop around the later part of September, that is stressed, may hang longer if taken good care of.
Thanks for the replies guys. I was going to prune, spray and cover with some netting to keep the critters out till they are ripe when they start to bear.
