In order to get a "Grand Slam" does all the birds have to be killed in one consecutive season? Can you get each bird year after year and also have a grand slam?

As per NWTF.org : The completion of a slam does not require the kills to take place in a single calendar year.

If you want to read more, go to the site, click on the "Hunting" tab, then click under Records @ "Click Here" and then you can read all about the "slams".

You have a good start on completing your Grand Slam.... good luck.

A friend of mine and her hubby went for a grand slam this year. Got three birds, didnt get the Merriam. She said that they will try to finish it next year.

I was confused. I was under the impression that it had to be all taken in the same season.

Thanks - I will go read up on it.

They dont have to be all the same year. My first Slam was a "single season slam" though. ;) Ive killed a couple more since, but I only fooled with registering the single season one.

Thats pretty awesome!

That is Awesome! I feel that if it is done in the same season than it would be more awarding to self.
