I get an invite from a friend of mine who has become quite the GrabbleMaster (or noodler as some might say.

It was pure art.... wet, hot, muddy, messy art... but it was art.

We noodled up a goodly number of big flatheads (6 to be exact) ... including the most humongous, personal-best, beast any of us have ever laid hands on (whilst "hand-fishing" anyway).

Erik and Allen actually did the honors on the huge beast. I was topside photographing. Underwater minner said it literally took all fours of their hands in the beasts mouth to wrestle her from a cavern-like hidey-hole.

When they got her ashore I was truly worried Spur was going to have a heart attack due to the excitement.

There is video... but it is spread about on my camera and Spur's camera. It will take a while to assemble some highlights but it'll be forthcoming.

Today I am sunburnt, cut & bruised... but it hurts so good.

What lake was ya on???

Tennessee River

Sorry. I don't like being evasive but I was a guest so it's not appropriate for me to give out too much info. I hope you understand.

I sent your video up to a charter captain in Michigan I've salmon fished with since I was 15. Told him he's doing it all wrong with all the fancy downriggers and what not.

He got the biggest kick out of your video. :D

At least tell us how much it weighed! U teaser ...

The monster weighed 60 lbs., but it was spawned out and hadn't eaten. It had the dimensions to easily weigh 70 to 75 pounds in peak condition.

CRAZY sums it up. Crazy BIG fish, and crazy if anyone thinks I am brave enough to stick my hand in something like that!
Awesome job and video too!
