driviing 13 hours one way to hunt for one hour :grin:
New Mexico Antelope opened today. One hour, One shot at about 250 yards with the 7MM STW and a 140 Accubond. He was slightly quartering to and I hit him high in the shoulder - DRT.
Nice goat. Great mass, decent prongs and length. Gonna be an outstanding european mount!
Saw one bigger but another guy went after him first then chased him far away of course. He was by himself as were most of the bucks. Got to 500 yards on the 4-wheeler then stalked about 150. Had to find a high clump of grass because mi bipod is short. He started walking to me so I let him come. Some coyotes started yipping and he seemed a little nervous so I took the shot.
Have to post a pic when I get home tomorrow night.
