So we did some Christmas a little early since my girlfriend is in town right now and we'll be traveling the next couple of days. Here is what my brother gave me.

It was the final project for his cartography class at UT. It is a detailed map and description of our land as is now along with pictures and details...very cool! Happy Holidays Boys!

Now the trick is actually using the GIS for what it was intended, instead of just making "pretty" maps.

I get my fair share of that to: populating tables, updating attribute tables, analyzing spatial relationships, processing hydrographic surveys, running queries for land use and land cover, digitizing river structures based on one meter satellite imagery, and the list goes on and on. It is amazing all the ways we use GIS these days.
